In August and September 2017 I made a sculpture in De Poldertuin. I have used 100 kilograms of clay mixed with dried plant remnants from this garden.
The sculpture was ready at the end of September 2017. The process of drying was slow. The clay object survived storm, rain, hail, snow and frost.
In the spring of 2018 the clay seemed dry enough to start the next phase.
I built a temporary oven. The fire slowly found its way through the entire clay object.
Together with family and friends, I dismantled the oven.
While enjoying drinks and Poldertuin snacks, the sculpture slowly became visible.
